My Mom had a home fire, lost everything, and was actually lucky to get out alive. Dealing with State Farm has been a total nightmare.

At this point I am convinced that their claims people are trained to never answer their phone and never return any messages. You would think that with something like a total home loss somebody at State Farm would be calling her asking what they could do to help her. We can't reach anybody and 12 messages have gone unanswered. We're debating whether to hire an attorney at this point.

How can a company even survive with that kind of customer service. On a scale of 1 - 100, I give them a zero!

Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Monetary Loss: $115103.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

State Farm Insurance Cons: I cannot even rate their cs since nobody will talk to us.

Sorry, you are having problems with their customer response. I am a retired SF adjuster and I assist agents in my city and state who do not get good service their claims department.

Try to reach your agent, if not keep trying the claims office.

It would you not be a good idea to hire an attorney, contractor, public adjuster until you find out what they are willing to pay. They will all take a part of your settlement and will greatly delay getting back into your house.If later if negotiations break down you can hire some one if you choose.

Keep your meal receipts, hotel receipts, make note of your mileage if you have travel more because of the occurrence.

If you if you cannot stay in the house. Write the times you called them down and keep a journal of the contacts etc.

You don't say whom you are attempting to contact, your local agent or corporate. In either case, go to "statefarm.com" and in the customer care section, click contact us and complain to corporate and see what happens.
