We were victims of a heavy storm more than 2 weeks ago,

and have talked to our local agent, but she wouldn't talk

but once, and for a short time. There were the tops of 3

of our backyard trees that piled onto out back deck. We've

had our house and cars "protected" for more than 50 years

and still can't get anyone from State Farm to come out and

see the damage....we've been told that they would come

out and give us their thoughts and amount of money that

we are in desperate need of. BTW, there's also fence

damage that's caused by a couple of the trees. If we

decide to change to another company, could we get a

refund from State Farm?

I agree, it doesn't sound like good service. However, the previous commentator is is wrong in that they will deny everything.

They will pay for sudden and accidental storm damage, which you appear to have.If you need to make emergency repairs, you should have coverage.

However, take many photos of damage such as trees on fence or building etc. Don't throw away damaged items, get estimates, but be careful signing contacts with contractors or public adjuster's est., until you get detailed estimates from your adjuster.Sorry for your difficulties!

Start getting your own estimates for the damage. Email State Farm directly and good luck. They won’t pay for anything over here and have done nothing but send agents to deny the damages.
