I cancelled auto policy effective April 5, 2023 with a refund due of $677.80 and have yet to receive this check. Customer service has been of little or no help. Despite having provided our current a

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I filed a complaint with the AZ DIFI. State Farm was more than willing to work with me after that
Once that was complete the water mitigation company put in a small slop sink (which wasn't tall enough for me to be able to stand up straight), and I grabbed a folding table from my garage to use in place of my island.
My dishwasher was uninstalled and put in the garage until work was completed. The water line to the fridge and dishwasher were left disconnected and no one connected the cold water to the slop sink because the leak had to be contained, and it was left capped off.
Since then, it was a fight to get anything from State Farm. They tried to claim negligence because I couldn't see the leak behind the drywall. They took until March before any payments were made to the contractor, but the payments weren't enough for the work to start.
In May, I was hospitalized after a very serious crash in which I suffered a compound TiB/Fib fracture, and the guy handling my claim wouldn't wait until I got home to call me back, (I was literally being discharged when he called) to tell me another payment was made.
This still wasn't enough to cover the work being done. Both the contractor and I spent until August trying to work with State Farm both by phone and email. At which point I called my stated Dept. of Insurance.
In less than a week I was called by my latest claim handler to inform me that "there are a lot of eyes on this claim" and they'd like to get it completed as soon as possible. Two more payments were made and construction could be started. My kitchen island was installed and all work by that company was completed around Thanksgiving.
The next issue was the insurance company claiming that the contractor was charging too much to repaint my cabinets and, they wanted one of their preferred companies to do the work. At which point that company came for an estimate that was about $1500 over what State Farm says the work should cost.
I sent their estimate in and called and called and called the insurance company. My latest claim handler, Kellie, has called me back once around 6 am. When she realized how early it was she said that she would call me back. It's been around 2 weeks, and there has been no call back, regardless of how many times I've called.
I can only leave a message because she never answers her phone.
And that's where we are. After over 11 months of delays and foot dragging by State Farm I am waiting for my cabinets to be painted.
Meanwhile, I make every monthly payment.
Oh, yeah and my premiums increased back in March.
So that's where I stand at this time. 11 months of using a slop sink, and they still can't get they're act together to finish this one final detail

On around December 11,2023 I initiated a Home warranty claim concerning some possible moisture damage in my living room area. I described to the agent, that I went into my living room area to place Christmas decorations and noticed a small soft area under the carpet floor.
My house is built on a crawl space. Note *(I normally dont go into that area of the house on a regular basis. The agent took the call and completed the claim stating a representative from State Farm will be contacting me. I received a letter from State Farm confirming who the assigned contact person, Brittany Walker and the claim is being processed.
In addition the letter informed me that he status of my claim can be found on the State Farm mobile app. I made several attempts to access the mobile app but it was down. After a couple of weeks I made an attempt to contact the State Farm representative on the correspondence. Instead, I left a voice mail message.
In two weeks, I received another letter from State Farm reporting my initial home insurance claim will be closed due to failure to follow up with State Farm. Again, I called and spoke with a representative who noted that State Farm was trying to get into contact with me however they failed to leave a voice mail message, which I believe is false. The representative informed me that he will assign a claim adjuster who will contact me further. I checked the State Farm mobile app, and it was down.
As of today 2/7/24, there has been no updates concerning the home insurance claim nor has anyone attempted to reach me.
My second concern with State Farm is regarding the car insurance. Unfortunately, my husband passed away in August of 2023 and when I reported his death to State Farm my auto premium increased significantly, and I have no other drivers in my household. I contacted State Farm and was informed all customers premiums will have increase during reenrollment.
This was concerning because we didnt have any accidents. Although placed a claim for damages I received to my truck liner which State Farm approved.
On February 2, 2024, my Honda Fit 2013 needed a battery charge. I called Sate farm for the battery service and was unable to speak with a representative. Instead, I was directed to an automatic link to be texted to my phone to start the process of having a service provider dispatched. I complied and within (20) minutes promptly a representative came out and started the battery.
I drove the car for about a (1) hour and parked in the community. The car failed to restart, and I then proceeded to contact State Farm again for assistance. I was unsuccessful in getting a live representative. The system kept giving me a mobile link to text to start the process of dispatching another provider.
I was unable to start a new service call, because the link stated the service was complete. After an hour of repeated calling, I finally got a live person in another department who took down my number if case of disconnection and he would transfer me to the correct department. He informed me that due to the weekend the work crew is scarce, but he assured me that someone would call me back immediately if the phone disconnected. I was placed on hold for about (30) minutes and was cut off.
Frustrated to say the least with this process, I reluctantly walked one mile back home in the dark. I left my vehicle parked in the lot overnight. Once getting home I was sent a link to complete a survey from the battery service provider. I rated their service good however rated State Farm process very poorly.
A representative from State Farm battery service contractor called me concerning the low survey rating. They made note of the incident and offer to have another service provider come out to assist. I declined due to being late and it wasnt safe to walk back to the vehicle to meet the service provider. In conclusion, I am truly disappointed with the level of poor service I received with these issues.
I would think with all the commercials and money state farms placed in marketing there good customer service model needs improvement. Unfortunately like most cooperations finding workers to meet the high case loads can be challenging. I believe that is want happened here, not enough manpower and unfortunately it trickles down to the consumer like me. As a recent widow I felt safe knowing I had this service auto benefit with State Farm, but it was unacceptable to be placed in that unsafe environment without support from this service.
It is my hope you can resolve these issues and take this as a teaching moment for your cooperation to do better. Thank you.

water damage occured on 01/13/2024 while out of town on a 2 week vacation after returning home, I Immediately noticed water lying in an small area between my laundry room and closet. I Immediately started to clean up the water and shut off the source of the leak, which happened to be an Hot Water Heater that was slowly leaking from the top. after the cleanup, I called Duke Energy because I had appliance protection that covers the water heater.mind you" the cleanup took me 3.5 hours to resolve.
a contractor for duke energy was sent out on the 14th of january and he assessed the leak.he returned with a new heater on 1/15/2024 and installed it. I then contacted my agent who took down all Information and she said that she would turn it over to a ms Christine Roche (claims adjuster). ms Roche contacted me on the 16th of january and we did the phone app to take pictures of the damaged area. afterwards' she stated that the next step that I would be contacted by Moisture Control. they did and an appointment was setup and they came out on the 29th of january, took out some sections of my flooring and found out that partical board was used in the remodeling of my home before I bought it. part of the partical board was taken up and they placed plastic down after a few minutes of drying out the damaged area. I then was contacted by a mr McCall who stated that he was taking over my claim because ms Roche, the original adjuster had Covid and he would push my claim through because it should never had taken soo long to complete,but since then, I have Not heard back from anyone pertaining to this matter. it has been over a month since I first filed this claim and I have been left with *** that the moisture control team left covered with plastic and a flimsy peice of plywood.
I pay my coverages on time and have never been late and I don't understand why I've been treated like this. never have I gone through this ordeal before and never would I have thought that this would take soo long to be completed. twice I had to move back the Flooring Installer and I may have to move the date of 2/4/2024 back again. I've called into customer service 2 times and all they can tell me is that mr McCall is working on it.
this is my delimma and I am one unhappy customer with how my claim is being handled. where is that slogan that your company uses, We Take Care Of Our Customers, because I don't see it. my next letter will be to Corporate about my complaint.

I have never felt so much like I am the accuser when I am the victim of stuff that has been stolen out of my storage unit.
I have file a complaint with the Department of Insurance in South Carolina and if anyone else is having issues please file a complaint with your department of insurance and your state. This is certainly unfair practices and discrimination

AlI receive notice that DEC. 19,2023 my policy will be canceled due to road side services and I was involved in a accident in 2021 which I was charged, I also went to self defense driving class and had my points reinstated.
I never heard of this, and I brag on Statefarm, telling other drivers to use because to the fair rates and customer service here at the local office I go to. Please sir/mam will upload please give me another chance, extend your heart and help me.
Life is full of challenges, room of improvements, non of us has arise yet, we still have room to grow and as long as Im living, better will always be a top priority for me. Please give me a chance.

I have contacted the company multiple times but they don’t seem too keen to do anything. Horrible customer service
In February 2022, when we asked why they increased our policy, a State Farm agent (JS) informed us that the underwriting team increased our premium because we failed to provide proof of previous licensing, so they removed the California Good Driver Discount.
We went back and checked our policy binder, which stated, "A State Farm Agent or Representative may contact you soon to inspect your vehicle and get the required documents listed below: Foreign License Proof."
However, we were never contacted by a State Farm agent or representative requesting foreign license proof.
I asked them to produce evidence of requesting such documentation, but of course, they failed to do so as it never happened.
Anyhow, they said that to rectify this, they would need proof showing that we had licenses previous to our current one (which is a Californian license). They said we could send them via email (as pictures), so I sent photos of our foreign driving licenses right away. JS said that they submitted all the documents to their underwriting team for review and asked that any credit be backdated to the inception of our insurance with State Farm, which usually takes 5-7 business days to review. They also said, If anything additional is needed, I will reach out to you right away!

Months went by, and we kept being overcharged by almost $100 each month that went by. Our multiple requests for an update went unanswered.
On August 18th an entire six months after their last update and JS essentially ghosting us I finally managed to get ahold of a different State Farm agent (FG) on the phone, who said that the underwriting team said that providing foreign driving licenses was not enough and requested that we provide our foreign driving records which, again, we provided right away.
FG said it takes 28 days to process from the day we submitted the documents, which was August 18th. On September 27th, when I contacted for an update, I got this answer: Sorry for no response, but I have been waiting for underwriting as they denied the request and documentation I sent in. I requested a revision of their decision and am waiting for their response.
So, I asked on what grounds they denied the request and documentation. Once again, our emails went unanswered.
On October 6th, I again emailed both agents we have been dealing with to ask what was happening and cced their manager (EG). I reminded them about the numerous months of being overcharged and that we have provided everything they asked for in a timely manner. I also said that in the last round we provided additional documentation, we've been told the underwriting team has denied our request and documentation without any justification or follow-up, so I asked them if we are simply wasting our time with this.
And this was their response:
The documents provided in August were submitted to our underwriting department for review.
They have advised that they will not be backdating the discount on your policy as this should have been provided at the time of application when you bound coverage online.
Unfortunately we were advised that there will be no premium refunded as additional documentation was provided after the cancellation date.
Well, this was my answer:
1.No documentation was requested from us when we were setting the conditions of our policy not online, nor when we spoke on the phone so how could we have known to provide something we were not asked for?
2.Our insurance binder stated, "A State Farm Agent or Representative may contact you soon to inspect your vehicle and get the required documents listed below: Foreign License Proof." However, we were never contacted by a State Farm agent or representative requesting foreign license proof. I asked them to produce evidence of contacting us about this, but of course, they failed to do so as it never happened!
3.We were the ones to contact State Farm, again and again, to see why our already high policy fee was increased, and when the underwriting requested documentation, we provided it this was WAY before our policy had come to an end, and it is NOT our fault that the underwriting team took until August (which is over 6 months) to review the documents we provided or provide an update!

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. There was no solution. We canceled all three of our State Farm policies and went elsewhere.
I shutter to even think about the amount of money I have spent on premiums over that time. I had made perhaps one or two claims over the 15 plus year period.
I was told to look into having the window repaired at my own expense since the deductible on the policy was $500. Once Safelite examined and repaired the glass, it turned out that there was also damage to the window motor and some minor body damage as well. I decided to file the claim with State Farm, went through that process, and selected one of their preferred vendors directly from their website for the repair.
Almost FOUR months later, I finally had my car back in my possession and fully repaired.
Long, painful story! The preferred body shop had left my vehicle running while in the shop. It is an electric vehicle and clearly they did not know the car was still on, running the battery out. They took extreme measures to fix the situation without consulting me and/or the manual, and basically damaged the entire electrical system.
The car had to be towed to the dealership, and it was another major dilemma (and many months of phone calls & visits to the dealership) getting all of that sorted and the electrical system repaired.
Over the first couple of months, when contacting both my agent, again of 15 plus years, and our designated State Farm Claims representative, I asked several times who was going to pay for all this, since the extreme situation was through no fault of mine, but the admitted fault of their preferred vendor. The rep said she would research it and get back to me. Then, after this research, she basically told me that I had brought a faulty vehicle into the body shop, even though she knew the shop had left the vehicle on and ran the battery out.
Worse still, the State Farm Rep relayed that upon more research, the make and model of my vehicle apparently is known to have electrical issues, and that it was coincidental that the car had stopped working during the time I took it into the shop. She actually used the word COINCIDENCE!
Unbelievable!
I drove a working car into a State Farm vetted and recommended vendor to fix a window, and when the car no longer worked, due to the shops blunders and blowing the electrical system, somehow that was MY fault, according to State Farm! She informed me there was nothing they could do for me, other than pay for the initial claim of the broken window.
After many months, countless hours and headaches, I worked the situation out with both the body shop management, who again admitted to the damage, and my dealership.
However, State Farm remained utterly useless. Needless to say, I have canceled all my policies with State Farm, of which I had three, and would all but beg anyone that I know to do the same.

I have my auto insurance plus a whole life insurance policy through your company out of Spokane Washington. Years ago the agent would give me a road atlas every couple of years but with changes in the staffing they no longer do that at their office.
What I would like to know is if you have a recent copy of a road atlas that is in PDF format I can receive by email for free or possibly a booklet as I am preparing for a multi state road trip. I don't always have availability for internet and being able to view it on a electronic device in pdf form would be helpful so I can enlarge it for vision enhancement because of my age. I am PISSED. My daughter was struck in her vehicle by one of your insured on February 12, 2024.
State Farm has assumed complete liability for the loss. Since the date of loss, State Farm refuses to accept my telephone inquiries without waiting on hold for HOURS, refuses to call me back when I leave messages, refuses to provide a rental car for my daughter (a first responder!) until two days after the date of loss (after I complained), send me erroneous and confusing documentation, refuses or neglects to review documents associated with my claim, refuses to provide me with a REASONABLE offer to settle my loss, uses insulting words and tones.
Now, today, February 26, 2024, State Farm demands that my daughter return her rental prior to settling my claim leaving her A NURSE without a means to get to work and without a vehicle. I WILL NOT BE BULLIED BY YOU PEOPLE.

After having been WITH Statefarm originally in TX, kept on to MOST HEAVEN SENT CREW @ agent in LA I continued...OVER A DECADE ALONE THERE! Arrived in AZ...
SHE MAKES POLICIES UP SHE KNOWS WILL NOT GO THRU, GETS THAT COMMISSION MONTIES 2 1/2 MS LATER, THEN CANCELS YOUR POLICIES. THEN FLAGS YOU OR DOES SOMETHING IN SYSTEM AND ALL A SUDDEN...YYOU'RE HAUNTED BY THIS ONE! Turned me over as NOT having insurance coverage WHEN SHE CANCELED ITTTTT! THE AUTO POLICY!
SHE KNEW I WAS DISABLED. DROPPED THRU CRACKS OF HEALTH "CARE" SYSTEM OVER PAST DECADE IN LA AND WAS HERE NOW WITH HOPES!
SHE WANTED TO KEEP ME PAYING FOR LIFE POLICY & RENTERS INSUR ALSO AFTER THIS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?

I was struck by a driver who has State Farm auto insurance on October 17, 2023 . I filed a claim with State Farm and received my first correspondence from State Farm, on January 9,2024, to contact the claims adjustor.
I have been attempting to contact the adjustor without success for 80+ days and my vehicle remains damaged. I need help getting my car fixed.
I have been waiting for almost 86 days to get my car repaired, this is unacceptable! I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Illinois Department of Insurance.
State Farm Insurance used to be good, not anymore!!! I advise everyone to look elsewhere for insurance.

We are experiencing the same exact issue. We moved states after buying a home.
We have waiting for over two months for a refund of over $900 on our auto policies because they can not transfer the money from one agency to the other. Apparently the computer system does not allow it. The first set of checks have been lost in the mail, the second set was resent but after talking to the agent they can not see them in the system anymore. (It is amazing how their bills make it thru the mail without being "lost").
I wanted to talk to someone in the corporate office but the system sends you right back to your agent. When I talked to the agent office they claim that there is NO number to call for corporate office.
Needless to say.... we are done with State Farm!
