My son was rear ended by an insured State Farm driver who was texting while driving. My sons jeep was totaled & we wanted to buy it back & salvage it.

My husband & I were in the process of moving out of state when the accident happened so it took us a few weeks to go get the vehicle from the auto body shop. We were told by the owner of the shop that we couldn't pick up the jeep because state farm hadn't sent them storage fees. My husband called twice and left messages for state farm to call back..they never did. Finally, I called on Oct 21 and after holding for an hour, I spoke to a very rude woman.

She informed me that they would only pay the storage fees until September 17th. Today is November 14th and I just got off the phone with the auto body shop who informed me he just received the payment (3 weeks later)...State Farm expects me to pay for the 3 additional weeks of storage.

At $35 a day, that's $735. Why am I responsible since they took their good old time paying?
