After 28 years and 3 actual claims due to hail, they cancelled our homeowners. Went to AAA and got the same plan for less.

so we dropped our car insurance with them and went to AAA and got the same coverage for 600.00 a year less. By the way I spoke with God and told Him to hail more on State Farm customers, then they won't have any customers.

They don't tell you that if you have someone LOOK at your roof that that counts as a claim even though they don't pay out any money. What a bad joke they are.

When you report a loss, it's considered a loss. You cannot erase a loss.

Insurance companies are weighing the risk and determining how frequently you will involve them if you have a loss. Insurance is for large, financially crippling losses. It's not a maintenance agreement.

If you call them every time the wind blows, you're considered high risk. Statistically, the average homeowner has one loss and involves the carrier every 17 years.
